JD Sears is an associate with Alexander & Vann. His practice is primarily focused on residential and commercial real estate transactions, business representation, and wills and probates.

JD has worked on several multi-million dollar asset purchase transactions, as well as, real property transactions. He has conducted closings for numerous residential homes in and around the Thomasville area, as well as multiple large-acreage tracts of farmland and/or planted pine. He also represented a closely-held business seller regarding a merger and acquisition with a publicly traded corporation. 

JD attended the University of Georgia for his undergraduate degree, later earning his juris doctorate from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University. While there, he served as President of the Environmental Law Society. 

Following graduation and his admission to the Georgia Bar, he worked for a law firm in Moultrie, GA, before relocating to Thomasville and joining Alexander & Vann.

Active in the community, JD was a former member, and board director, for Kiwanis Club of Moultrie, Georgia. He also served as a United Way Division Chair for the Moultrie Attorneys Fundraising, and was the former President of the Moultrie Bar Association. A member of First Presbyterian Church of Thomasville, JD enjoys golf, hunting, fishing, and University of Georgia football.
