A partner with Alexander & Vann for nearly 40 years, George R. Lilly, II has an active personal injury litigation practice with a particular emphasis on medical malpractice and automobile accidents. 

He is experienced in insurance defense, medical malpractice defense law, workers’ compensation, eminent domain and school law. George is also a Certified Mediator with the State of Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution. 

George received a B.B.A from the University of Georgia in 1980 and a J.D. from Mercer University in 1983. He is a member of State Bar of Georgia, the Defense Research Institute, Inc., the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association, the Thomas County Bar Association, and the International Association of Defense Counsel.

George has served on numerous Boards of Directors, including for Thomasville City Schools and Commercial Bank. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Community Foundation of South Georgia, Inc. and a member of the Board of Trustees of Thomas University (Chair 2022). He was also a Diaconate of First Presbyterian Church of Thomasville, Georgia, 2003-2005 and a Member of Session of First Presbyterian Church of Thomasville, 2006-2008 and 2010-2013. Active in his community and his church, George is married to Nelray Rice Lilly and has two daughters and one son. He enjoys golfing and hunting.
